The current status of international live fish market has been moved towards vertical division of labors. That means different stages of fishes are cultured in different countries.In Taiwan, our techniques for roe production and seedlings cultivation are pioneers among the world, and if we can take the lead, we will continuously play a decisive role in the world aquaculture industry. For example, the grouper culture in Taiwan has already reach " completely artificial propagation". That means we can produce roe, fry, seedlings and raise to adult fish to lay eggs again and again. All the processes can be achieved artificially and our techniques have already taken the lead in the word. But during these years, many aquaculture technicians have moved their farms and brought their techniques to abroad, and the seedlings production techniques of some countries and areas have menaced Taiwan's lead.Hence how to produce anti-virus antibody and transgenic techniques, and how to increase the ransporting volume are all the urgent issues that Taiwan aquaculture industry has to face.
